Cairndhu house Glenarm
Cairndhu was initially build as a summerhouse by mr Stewart Clark in the 1870s,He was a wealthy Scottish textile
Industrialist. The house has two storeys and a veranda and a balcony along the front. The house was a hospital till
1947. It was closed down due to a lack of funds which was a loss to the area and most of all architecture and history.
I spent the day investigating this property and had no bad feelings through the day. But on occasions did lose full
battery power on more than one occasion.
As you can see there is a lot of graffiti writers about this i dont mind in the right place and context but here it does
nothing to enhance the look of the building. Even so some are very colourful ( we shall leave it at that )
As you can see by the photo below the place is very overgrown for something is a bit of a tourist attraction which
myself travelled 170 miles round trip to see and i was not disappointed.
The photo below shows most off the floors are gone and you need to proceed with caution as the risk of falling
debris is high, but with care you can get to walk through most of the building. On the occasion of me taking this
picture i did think i could hear a child cry but this could have been voice transferring from the grounds outside as i was not the only one there and there was children in that party off 6-7 people. As for the SLS i was using nothing to write home about.
I loved the writing on the door thought it was very fitting a lesser mortal would have went home :-)))
As with all my investigations i always take pictures off the windows, this is because i once took a photo of one and something was looking back
now i cant be sure but i could not debunk it ?? ill leave that thought with you.
Now in conclusion i got nothing worth well readings when i was there and did not feel anything untoward but thats not to say someone else may
feel different. And no EVPs recorded as well.
But i will say this i will be back. ( watch this space )
